Day 1.

Your journey to the mysterious Altay winter fairy tale begins the minute you land at Gorno-Altaysk airport. Altay Village Teletskoe team of guides will be there to take care of your comfort and safety so that nothing distracts you from enjoying the beauty of the surrounding environments.

On the first day, after meeting at the airport, our journey starts from the Katun river-valley, famous for its turquoise color during winter season. Then we head to the foothill of the Malaya Sinyukha mountain to rest and try some local cuisine at the restaurant there. After resting and dining the elevator will take us to the scenic viewpoint of the Malaya Sinyukha mountain, where you can let loose your inner shutterbug and enjoy the breathtaking environments. From the point of 1020 meters above the sea you will get an unforgettable view of the snowy mountain tops and twists and bends of the frozen Katun river. Our journey continues along the Katun river until we reach the remote settlement Chemal, where we will take a walk to the picturesque Patmos island and visit the active chapel there. As the evening arrives we are taking you to the eco-hotel at the bank of the river, so you could relax and recuperate for the next day trip.

Day 2.

In the morning we set off on a new path along the famous Chuysky tract, passing through the majestic mountains along the incredible passes. This is a federal highway, which National Geographic magazine included in the list of the ten most scenic drives in the world. Today we have 300 kilometers ahead of us along this picturesque road, we cross 2 automobile passes – Seminsky and Chike-Taman, where we will stop to enjoy the mesmerizing panoramic views of the Sarlyk mountain and the old Chuysky tract. A little further along the way, we will see traces of the civilization of the ancient peoples of Altay. Near the Kalbak-Tash tract there is a unique collection of more than three thousand ancient petroglyphs and rock paintings spanning from the Neolithic to the ancient Turkic era. Just a little off the pass there is a Shirlak waterfall, also called "Maiden's Tears" which will surprise us with its peculiar natural beauty. In winter, the waterfall freezes over, forming huge ice blocks on the rocks. By sunset, we will move to a comfortable hotel, where you can share your impressions from a busy day, enjoying a dinner prepared by our chef cook.

Day 3.

For the third day, we have prepared for you an excursion to the Chuya steppe. This is one of the driest and coldest places in Russia, with annual temperature fluctuations reaching 93 degrees. Ahead lies the non-freezing Geyser lake – in winter it is even more spectacular than in summer, due to the contrast of the bright turquoise color of the water and the shores powdered with fluffy snow. The mighty four-thousand meter mountains of the Severo-Chuysky ridge will show themselves in all their glory. They seem even more majestic against the background of a bright blue sky. Finally, on the southern outskirts of the Chuya steppe, we will get to the most mysterious part of our journey - the Tarkhatinsky megalithic complex, which is also called the “Altay Stonehenge”. At the heart of the Chuya steppe we will stop for lunch, and in the evening we will return to the hotel to recuperate, enjoy a delicious dinner and discuss what we have observed during the day over a cup of hot Altay herb tea.

Day 4.

Day four is the day when you have to abandon your comfortable car to continue your trip on the helicopter to enjoy the bird's eye views of Altay. The flight over the Chulyshman river valley and the Teletskoe lake, powerful in its energy, will linger for a long time in your memory. The helicopter will take you to one of the best resorts in Russia and your acquaintance with Altay will continue together with the team of Altay Village Teletskoe. However, if you wish or in case the weather will be unfavourable for flights, you will be taken there by car, again along the Chuysky tract, but this time showing to you another, yet undiscovered side of it.
